The
apartment is in a traditional Venetian small house, and is located on the ground floor.
It is away from the high waters, although just a couple minutes walk from the Grande Canal for easy access to all of central Venice by boat or on foot.
The apartment building is a typical early to mid 1700's Venetian home, with details such as fireplace, iron work and traditional flooring. Click on the pictures at the top of this page to enlarge the apartment photos.
The total size of the apartment is approximately 55 square meters, a good size for 2 to 4 persons. One enters the apartment directly into the living room, which is sunny with 3 windows total and fireplace. The living room includes a sofa bed, arm chair, coffee and dining table, buffet, chairs, TV with DVD player, CD player, and bookshelves with books on Venice. The short hallway off the living area leads into the kitchen, the small bathroom, and back into the bedroom. The bedroom includes a queen bed as well as a 2nd sofa bed. There is a storage room off the bedroom to hang clothes and leave luggage.
The kitchen and bathroom are newly renovated. The beds and sofa beds (both sofas are double bed size) are also new.
The apartment has a walled patio/garden area, which can be accessed directly from both the living room and the bedroom. The patio/garden area is approximately the same size as the apartment itself, and includes a full table and chairs to be able to sit or eat outside. There is a washing machine available in a storage area off the patio.

Apartment Location Details
The apartment is conveniently located in the Santa Croce area of central Venice. Within 3 minutes on foot you are at the Church and square of Campo San Giacomo da l'Orio, with its restaurants and local good sized grocery store, and of course the beautiful church.
Within a 10 minute walk from the apartment you can reach the Frari Church, the Scuola San Rocco, and within 15 minutes on foot be at the Rialto Bridge or Campo San Paulo.
The Grand Canal and the closest motorboat (Vapporetto) stop is just a couple minutes walk from the apartment as well (stop Riva di Biasio).
The apartment is also conveniently located from the arrival points into Venice (Piazzale Roma if arriving by bus from airport; or Stazione San Lucia if arriving by train). Both the train station and the bus stop are around a 10 minute walk from the apartment, so you can walk directly to the apartment when arriving to Venice.
