Parc Monceau is a spacious and elegant apartment located in a typical French turn of century Haussmann - style building, just 2 blocks from Parc Monceau, in one of the more prestigious central districts of Paris.
The apartment is well appointed and is perfect for a couple, small family/group wanting the convenience and excitement of a central Paris location, as well as a spacious and relaxing apartment environment at a reasonable nightly rate. Many of our guests who stay at the Parc Monceau apartment insist on returning to this apartment on subsequent visits to Paris- it is popular and appreciated!
This apartment has several very desirable features:
Situated in a very fashionable area, on the second floor (with elevator) in a well maintained and high quality building.
The apartment is on the 2nd (European) floor, serviced by an elevator. The apartment faces the bright and well-maintained private courtyard, ensuring no noise from the street. This apartment is quiet.
Reasonably spacious at almost 50 square meters (approx. 545 sq. feet), this apartment compares well with most apartments in central Paris (good sized bathroom; large living area, separate full kitchen).
The apartment can sleep up to 5 persons (double bed and single bed located in the bedroom; a sleeper sofa in the living area, and a pull out single bed is also located in the apartment). It is very comfortable for two or three and works very well for 4 persons.
The Parc Monceau apartment also has a telephone option: for a 25 Euros flat fee, you can have UNLIMITED calling from the apartment phone to any fixed line phones (not cell/portable phones), anywhere in Europe, USA, Canada, Austraia, NZ, Brazil. If you do not take this option, you can make local Paris calls only and you can receive all calls.
The Parc Monceau Apartment includes everything you need for a pleasant stay- good quality beds, large bathroom with walk in shower, traditional wooden flooring, quality furnishings, CD player and TV/VCR combo unit, high speed internet connection (for your portable PC), dining table and chairs, book shelves with guides on Paris and other reading materials, and closet space for clothing and luggage. LOCATION:
Metro Villiers at the border of the 8th and 17th Arrondissements. Easy access to metros, buses, and within walking distance of many interesting areas such as the Opéra, Madeleine, and the Avenue des Champs-Elysées.
Area
Excellent location: lively, safe and central... just 2 blocks from the beautiful large park, Parc Monceau (click for 2 photos of the Parc) which is a great place to stroll and soak in the Parisian atmosphere.
Within a 15 to 20 minute walk from the apartment you are at Madeleine Church (click for photo) and rue Saint Honoré and Blvd Haussmann shopping streets (Galleries Lafayette Department store, etc). The Opéra and Champs-Elysées districts can be reached on foot in less than 20 minutes. The Opera and Arc de Triomphe/Avenue des Champs Elysees are also direct by the local Metro Station (Villiers).
The apartment is located on a lively pedestrian market street; thus you have all the traditional bakeries, cheese, fruit, vegetable and butcher shops, the cafes and restaurants, just outside the apartment. The true Parisian experience is thus yours as you wander into the local stores to buy your bread, wine and fruit at the street market on Rue de Lévis.
