Description
Housed within a typical 19th century Parisian apartment building, the Les Halles Two Bedroom apartment offers high standards of comfort in a convenient and quiet central historic district, for a reasonable nightly rate per person.
The apartment is located on the European second floor (two flights of steps; large staircase; no elevator). The apartment faces both the street and courtyard; the street (Rue Montmartre) has little traffic and no noise problem.
This apartment is located in the same building as the LES HALLES ONE BEDROOM apartment, in the 1st Arrondissement (or district) of Paris: an excellent location for visiting central Paris on foot.
The apartment, at 80 square meters (approx. 860 sq. feet), is the most spacious of all the apartments and is quite rare to find in the 1st district where apartments tend to be small. The apartment can accommodate 3 to 7 persons.
There is a spacious entry which leads directly into the large living area. The living room has special features such as original wooden floors with area rugs, wooden ceiling beams, and a large stone fireplace. The living area has 3 large double French windows that look out onto th street (double glazed windows). One of the windows opens onto a small balcony with two chairs and plants and nice views to Saint Eustache church and the old grain exchange. In terms of furnishings, the living room has a new sofa bed, two armchairs, a large coffee table and bookcases, as well as a TV (with basic cable) and a DVD player. There is also a desk with computer with internet connection.
The entry also leads into the kitchen area which is large and quite complete with a stove and electric burners, an oven, microwave, coffee maker, toaster, a large fridge and a double sink. There is alot of counterspace and cupboards and also a clothes washer-dryer unit. The kitchen was remodeled in 2002 and again repainted in 2009.
The dining area is just off the kitchen, separated by a large wooden bar area with two stools. The dining area has a main dining table, six chairs and a side buffet as well as a stone fireplace and two large windows that look out onto the street.
The main bedroom is off a hallway and is on the courtyard side with 2 windows. The bedroom is reasonably spacious with a queen bed (new) and a large armoire, armchair and side tables and lamps.
The second bedroom is off the entry and living area and is a smaller room that was added, and although it is small and without windows, it is cute and still large enough for 2 single beds, a small armoire, a bedside table and bookshelves.
The bathroom is good size for a central Paris apartment and includes double sinks and a full bathtub as well as a built in shower area and toilet.
There is an additional single fold out bed in the apartment that can be used to sleep a 7th person. We will make up the beds according to your request/the number in your party.
The apartment is very quaint with traditional high ceilings, original wood beams and wooden flooring, fireplaces and balcony. A perfect setting for the perfect holiday.

Apartment is in 1st disctrict of Paris and just a 10 minute walk to the Louvre Museum; Palais Royal, the Pompidou Centre (Beaubourg), and 15 minutes walk to the Marais district, Opera, City Hall, Notre Dame and Place de la Concorde.
The rue Montorguil pedestrian shopping street, filled with cafes, restaurants and produce shops is just around the corner.
Les Halles metro stop is 3 minutes walk away, with direct access to the airports and Disneyland.
In summary: excellent central location.
