The Montorgueil Louvre One Bedroom is a perfect home away from home right in the heart of central Paris. Located on the 5th floor of a typical smaller Parisian apartment
building with elevator access and with just one apartment on each floor. The apartment is 40 square meters in total size (that is 430 square feet).
This apartment faces south with a balcony, receiving direct sunlight late morning and early afternoon.
This is a NON SMOKING apartment. The apartment has air conditioning for summer months.
Upon entering the apartment you are in a very small foyer area that has a partition that looks through to the kitchen, and this entry leads directly to the living room.
The living room has a top quality sofa that pulls out to sleep 2 persons if needed. There is also designer coffee table (it can open and slide up to become a large dining table), a HD flat screen TV, a numeric wifi system with I-pod and I-pad docking station. There are shelves built into the walls, and a smaller dining table with 2 chairs against the wall. The living room as a modern, designer feel. There is direct access to the balcony.
The kitchen is an open kitchen area, that is separated from the living area in part by a built in bar that can sit up to 3 persons. The kitchen though not large in size is fully equipped with stove top, oven, a full sized fridge and freezer, a dish washer, coffee maker, microwave, and all the kitchen cookware and table ware you need for up to 6 persons. There is also a clothes washer-dryer unit in the kitchen.
The bedroom has a clean feeling to it, and includes lots of storage space. The bedroom also gives directly onto the balcony and looks south, so gets good light during the day.
The bathroom includes a separate toilet room, and an Italian style walk in shower with glass door. The bathroom has a small window towards the courtyard area and the room is in very good condition.
This apartment is just off the famous shopping street Rue Montorgueil, right in the heart of central Paris. Rue Montorgueil is a well know market street and is part of the
largest pedestrian area in Europe. The area is well liked by Parisians and foreigners alike for its neighborhood feel with so many people coming to walk and enjoy the local shops, restaurants and
cafes. It is a lively but not too touristy area of central Paris.
By staying in the Rue Montorgueil One Bedroom, you are surrounded by the rich history of Paris - this area is an important and up scale extension off Les Halles which was the famous market area for all Paris for over 8 centuries. Here you will find a lively neighborhood, with pedestrian streets filled with cafés, restaurants and shops: bakeries, cheese shops, fish mongers, butcher shops, fruit stands, lunch restaurants and well known restaurants such as l'Escargot (frequented by Proust and Dali). On rue Montorgueil there is the Stohrer Bakery the oldest and one of the most famous "patisserie" in Paris, opened by the head pastry chef to King Louis XV's wife in the mid 1700s.
Within 10 to 15 minutes on foot: Louvre Museum, Palais Royal gardens and shops, Opera Garnier, rue Saint Honoré shopping street, Pompidou center, the Seine River and Islands, Notre Dame and the Marais District.
We want to thank you for your hospitality, your Montorgueil - Louvre apartment was perfect for us! Special thanks for the most comfortable mattress and overall high quality of
kitchen cookware, dishes etc. Your book with instructions and recommendations was most helpful. Thank you also for answering all my questions regarding transportation, shopping etc. I have already
recommended your services to several of our friends. Location was great; we loved going out in the morning to shop food for the day. When we returned in the evening we stopped for a beer right on our
own doorstep! Noise did not bother us; we just closed doors and windows when we went to bed. Thank you again! T.H. California, USA
Great Apartment! Davd D., Switzerland

We (myself, husband and 19 year old son) really enjoyed our stay in the Montorgueil - Louvre One Bedroom on rue Tiquetonne street. It was a lovely clean apartment with everything you could need, bedroom had oodles of storage, bathroom fine, kitchen really well equipped (we used most of the appliances), the fridge was huge! My son slept on the comfortable sofa bed in the lounge and the toilet was very conveniently acessible to all of us overnight.
The area was just right, full of life yet not noisy, cafes galore, many small supermarkets close by plus fresh produce shops in Rue Montorgeuil. We needed a place for relaxation and a centre for sightseeing and both were perfect. We walked to most of the museums and the Metro/station was easy and close. Sandy A. and Family, UK
We thoroughly enjoyed staying in the Montorgueil - Louvre One Bedroom Apartment due to its location, high standing and the quality of its management. I definitely plan to use the apartment again during my next trip to Paris.
The location is extremely convenient and central, half way between the historic Louvre area and the fashionable Marais district. Both are an easy 10 minute walk. Also the Saint-Germain, another one of my favorite neighborhoods, is a pleasant short walk via the Pont Neuf, across the Seine.
And the apartment is in the largely pedestrian area of Montorgeuil, which offers plenty of amenities including shops, cafes and restaurants. A fantastic bakery (and the oldest in Paris), Stohrer, is around the corner from the apartment so we started our day with beautiful croissants and pastries.
In short, we did not have to use a single cab during our stay.
The apartment itself is a haven of calm and wellbeing. The bedding is very comfortable, and the rest of the equipment is state of the art and practically new. High speed WIFI allowed me to stay connected with work when I needed to.
And it pays to be on the 5th floor (with the elevator): the large French windows and full-length balcony provide an attractive view of the city scape and lets in plenty of sunshine and natural light all day around. The apartment is quiet, and there was no noise neither from the neighbors nor the street despite the busy location. Our stay felt cozy and warm, just like home.
Finally, John made the experience seamless from start to finish. Prompt reply, professional approach and answered all my questions. The apartment was also sparkling clean when we walked in. What more can you ask ? We will be back! Mr Marc H., Washington DC, USA
